The Fansub Wiki is a database of current and upcoming shows, sorted by season, with listings for groups that have chosen to subtitle them. The listings are obtained through numerous sources such as Moonphase, and the accuracy of our content depends on them.

The Fansub Wiki started in 2008 when the old wiki was no longer properly maintained. Most of the content was moved from AndrewLB's pukiwiki site to this mediawiki. The wiki was initially open to anonymous users, but due to several retards and spamming editing the wiki was closed to registered users only. In a few short months, the Fansub Wiki has become THE most reliable source for fansub and show data on the interwebs.
Due to the Fansub Wiki's immense popularity and reliability, it had been a victim of a small denial-of-service attack in March 2009. Anime fans the world over had lost its connection to the fansub community for 4 long hours as the admins desperately tried to contain the damage. Anonymous of Horriblesubs calling themselves "Justice Knights of Crunchyroll" claimed responsibility for the attack. Admins are pretty sure said anonymous was actually a butthurt wannabe fansubber who was upset that their "fansub group" kept getting removed from the wiki.
